Abstract

The methodology of planning and performing geodetic activities in determining vertical displacement of engineering objects or specific structural elements and units is presented in this paper. Data from observation of a building for students' accomodation in Banja Luka, collected during its construction, are presented. The geodetic control of geometry and deformation analysis of the performed building construction are primary tasks of the engineering geodesy in the construction of objects. Vertical displacement and deviations of objects are caused by numerous factors. The geodetic tehnical documentation, developed during implementation of these tasks, represents a valuable basis for the development of observation projects during exploitation of objects and for forming an engineering building information system.
