Mobbing, mobber, victim and consequence

Abstract

The authors in this paper wish, through a theoretical contribution, to shed light on the notion, phenomenon,
process and consequences of mobbing. Since there are no scientifi c-research papers on this topic in our area, the paper
will also serve as a theoretical basis for empiric researches. The topic is interesting in particular given the current situation
that is characterized by the extensive problem of mobbing in organizations, just like the lack of legal norms that would
precisely defi ne mobbing. Our intention is to facilitate recognition of the problem, i.e. of mobbing in a specifi c situation,
through presenting general characteristics of the mobbing, and of the mobber and the victim, contribute to its detection
before it results in major consequences for the victim and the organization itself.
