Abstract

Side effects of drugs are detected both before and after placing the drug on the market. In order to monitor and prevent the occurrence of side effects, the World Health Organization has established a pharmacovigilance program. Data collection on side effects in pharmacovigilance can be either spontaneous (health workers and patients) or mandatory (marketing authorization holder).
