WARNING AND GUIDANCE MEASURES IN JUVENILE CRIMINAL LAW AND PRACTICE IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

The subject of research in this paper is warning and guidance measures as one of the three types of educational measures that exist in the juvenile criminal legislation of the entity and Brčko District in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The educational measures in question are: a) court reprimand, b) special obligations and c) referral to an educational center. This paper provides a brief historical and comparative legal overview of each of those criminal sanctions that can be imposed on juvenile offenders. Also, the legal nature and scope of their imposition by the competent courts in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the institutional framework for the execution of some of the mentioned sanctions were analyzed, and certain proposals de lege ferenda were given.
