Special investigative actions are actions sui generis that result from the need to establish security measures in the fight against crime. The legislator primarily regulated the efficiency of criminal proceedings by emphasizing the strengthening of protection of fundamental human rights and freedoms, but it was necessary to normatively regulate special investigative actions as procedural actions that will contribute to a more efficient fight against criminal phenomena. The fight against crime is successful if the investigative process gathers evidence that will establish a legally relevant factual situation and pave the way for a conviction of a person whose criminal responsibility has been proven.
