STUDENT EVALUATION OF THE QUALITY OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

The paper analyzes the student assessment of the quality of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with an emphasis on the implementation of standards for quality improvement introduced in 2012. The aim of the research is to assess the effectiveness of these measures in improving the quality of higher education in the country. The main research question is whether there is a difference in the quality of teaching before and after the introduction of quality assurance standards. In order to arrive at the results, an independent samples t-test was conducted with the calculation of the mean and standard deviation. The data used were collected using survey questionnaires, and referred to the period before the introduction of the standard (from 2008 to 2012) and after the introduction of the standard (from 2013 to 2022). The data were processed using the statistical program IBM SPSS Statistics. The obtained results show that student evaluation is a valuable tool for improving quality and that the introduction of standards and accreditation of higher education institutions are steps taken in the right direction. However, there is still room for further improvements in the quality of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
