USING CHATGPT IN SOLVING DEFINITE INTEGRALS

Abstract

Definite integrals have large application in mathematics, physics, engineering, etc., but it is needed deep knowledge, the appropriate techniques and skills, as well as big attention for their solving. There are also integrals which is difficult to be solved analytically and have to be solved numerically. On the other side, the artificial intelligence is rapidly developing nowadays intending to behave like a human. Tools like ChatGPT are easily available with their free version. We have used the free version of ChatGPT and tested its capabilities for solving definite integrals and ability for their application in geometry, in order to explore how well it is trained for such problems, or it has to be trained furthermore to become able for more accurate answers and solutions. The problems which we have set to ChatHPT and the solutions which we have obtained are given in this paper.
