This paper discusses the importance of a gifted child, a child who seeks more, who is more curious than others and who needs to be worked with individually. The problem of the relationship of the school environment, as an important factor in the child's socialization towards gifted children is a constantly present and inexhaustible topic for research. On the basis of pedagogical-psychological and didactic-methodological knowledge and research results, an attempt is made to shed light on the relationship between peers and teachers towards gifted students. The empirical part of the paper investigates the degree of recognition and acceptance. The results mainly show that the gifted children were noticed by the environment, but not sufficiently supported by positive stimulation and adequate opportunities for further development of their potentials.
