Liability policy
Author Liability
Authors guarantee that the manuscript represents their original contribution, has not been previously published and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals constitutes a violation of ethical standards, which excludes it from further consideration for publication in the journal. A paper that has already been published elsewhere may not be reprinted in the journal Academic Review.
Authors bear full responsibility for the entire content of the manuscript. The manuscript must not contain unfounded or illegal claims, nor infringe the rights of others.
Authors are required to ensure that their authorship team listed in the manuscript includes all and only those individuals who have significantly contributed to the content of the manuscript. If other individuals have participated in important aspects of the research project and preparation of the manuscript, their contribution should be stated in a footnote or a special note (Acknowledgements).
It is the authors' obligation to state in the note the name and code of the scientific research project within which the work was created, as well as the full name of the funding institution. In the event that the work under the same or similar title was presented at a meeting in the form of an oral presentation, details of this should be provided in the same place.
Authors are required to fully and correctly cite sources that significantly influenced the content of the research and manuscript. Parts of the manuscript, including text, equations, figures or tables, that are taken literally from other works must be clearly marked with a special note, e.g. with quotation marks with a precise indication of the place of taking (page number) or, if they are more extensive, given in a separate paragraph.
Full references of all in-text citations (citations) must be listed in a separate section (Literature or References) and in a uniform manner, in accordance with the citation style used by the journal. In the Literature section, only cited sources are listed, and no other sources used in the preparation of the manuscript.
In the event that authors discover a significant error in their paper after its publication, they are obliged to immediately notify the editor-in-chief (or publisher) and to cooperate in having the paper retracted or corrected.
It is the authors' obligation to state in the manuscript whether they have a financial or any other significant conflict of interest that could affect their results or the interpretation of the results.
By submitting a manuscript, authors commit to respecting the editorial policy of the journal Academic Review.
Editorial Liability
The editor-in-chief makes the final decision on which manuscripts will be published. Decisions are made solely on the basis of the merit of the manuscript. They must be free from racial, sexual/gender, religious, ethnic or political prejudice. When making a decision on publication, the editor-in-chief is guided by the editorial policy, taking into account legal regulations relating to defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism.
Members of the editorial board, including the editor-in-chief, must not have a conflict of interest in relation to the manuscripts they are reviewing. Members who are presumed to have a conflict of interest do not participate in the decision-making process on a particular manuscript.
Manuscripts are kept as confidential material. Information and ideas contained in manuscripts may not be used for personal purposes without the express written permission of the author.
The editor-in-chief and members of the editorial board are obliged to take all reasonable measures to ensure that authors/reviewers remain anonymous during and after the evaluation process in accordance with the procedure in use.
Reviewers Liability
Reviewers are obliged to provide the editor with a qualified and timely assessment of the scientific or professional value of the manuscript. The reviewer takes special care of the actual contribution and originality of the manuscript. The review must be completely objective. The reviewers' judgment must be clear and supported by arguments.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts in terms of the content's compliance with the journal's profile, the importance and usefulness of the content, the adequacy of the methods used, the scientific value of the information contained, the style of presentation, and the text's equipment. The review has a standard format that includes assessments of individual dimensions of the paper, an overall assessment, and a final recommendation.
The reviewer must not have a conflict of interest with the authors or the research funder. If such a conflict exists, the reviewer is obliged to promptly notify the editor. The reviewer does not accept papers for review outside the field for which he or she is considered fully competent.
Reviewers should warn the editor-in-chief if they have reasonable suspicion or knowledge of possible violations of ethical standards by the author of the manuscript. They should also recognize relevant sources that have not been taken into account in the paper. They may recommend citing certain references, but they may not require citing papers published in the journal "Academic Review" or their own papers, unless there is justification for doing so.
Reviewers are expected to improve the quality of the manuscript with their suggestions. If they consider that the work deserves publication with revisions (corrections), they are required to specify the manner in which this can be achieved.
Manuscripts sent to reviewers must be considered confidential documents. Reviewers may not use material from the manuscript for their own research without the express written permission of the author.
