Abstract

The occupational health and safety management system is an important factor in sustainable business and employee protection in modern organizations. Effective OSH management requires a systemic approach that integrates risk assessment, compliance with regulatory requirements and the application of modern methods for continuous improvement of the work environment. This paper analyzes existing OSH management systems, with a special focus on identifying factors that influence their effectiveness. By using scientific methods and best practices from relevant norms, strategies and organizational models, the research indicates the need for an adaptive and dynamic approach that allows foresight, to a certain extent, for the prevention of occupational risks. The paper explores the approaches and specifics of the conceptual definition, as well as the practical implementation of the safety and protection management system at work, and their role in reducing incidents, increasing productivity and improving the organizational culture of safety.
