Abstract

The use of analgesics and antipyretics in children requires careful consideration due to their unique physiological and anatomical characteristics, necessitating dosage adjustments based on age and body weight. Paracetamol and ibuprofen are the most commonly used medications that have proven to be effective in reducing fever and alleviating pain. However, adhering to recommended dosages is essential to avoid potential risks. The main aim of this study was to examine parental attitudes toward the rational use of analgesics and antipyretics in children. The research hypothesis posits that parental attitudes vary depending on their sociodemographic characteristics, including age, gender, and level of education. The research was conducted in the field using a structured questionnaire on a convenience sample of 317 parents.
