Abstract

legal reaction to criminality is based upon the regulations ofcriminal law which, by their content, represent an ultima ratio in fighting againstcriminality. Contemporary criminal legislations, as well as criminal legislationsfrom the area of the countries of former Yugoslavia, have incorporated provisionsby which legal intervention is tended to be achieved in so called previousstages of committing a criminal action. The above mentioned representsboth traditional and necessary mean in fighting contemporary and more severeforms of criminality. In criminal legislations from the area of former Yugoslaviathe area of punishment is in certain cases expanded to the stage of preparationof criminal actions, whether it is done by first or second model of legal regulationsof this legal institute. The author of this work reflects the legal reactions ofcriminal legislations concerning previous stages of committing criminal actions
