Abstract

Contemporary trends in tourism today imply some new forms of tourist offer. One of them is a visit to some, so far unknown to the general public, regions where there is an unchanged, old way of growing vines and processing grapes, i.e. producing wine and brandy grapes. Coming to those regions, theimodern tourist gets acquainted with the way of life and work in those rural households, participates in the work and daily chores in the vineyard, learns how to make wine and brandy, tries local food and learns how to prepare it, has numerous other activities such as walks, cycling, various sports activities that are possible in such a natural environment. For today’s tourist, after all those luxury resorts and luxury, it is a real revelation and he is ready to pay for it and enjoy the newly discovered beauty of places unknown to him. This paper presents one such area in Montenegro in the vicinity of Danilovgrad called Donji Zagarač, whose few inhabitants make efforts to valorize all the benefits it brings for the benefit of both the local community and the state.
